Design shows itself in the FUSION 2.0 system as an uniform aesthetic solution, where the system’s fixed rim perfectly sets itself in the building and, in addition to remaining concealed in the finishing materials after installation, it only reveals itself through surface covers and subtle perimeter lines that allow moving of the panels in the fixed and concealed rim in the building.

Function, in the FUSION 2.0 system, is fully solid as it addresses issues ranging from integrating the tiniest element into the whole of the system and vice-versa, to issues that are intrinsically related to sustainable manufacturing, economic impact and overall technical performance. Finally, the main aspect is the user experience in all its possible aspects, from the temporary user who will use the building during its construction period, as well as the end user, who will use the building in its lifetime.

Lastly, Maintenance, taken in special consideration in FUSION 2.0, as the system allows simple maintenance that can be easily done even by the end user. It allows for easy replacement of the surface covers, the only visible part in the system, at any point in the building’s lifetime, either during the construction phase, usually critical time given the intensive use and carelessness by the building team.

Among other advantages, the system has a unique feature in the market, given that the system’s fixed rim, the one in contact with the building, has perimeter cavities just below the surface covers. Thus, transforming into technical spaces that allow the use of rigorous mechanical fixings that offer the highest safety to users. This basic principle was inspired by the most elaborate curtain wall systems on the market equipping the tallest and most complex towers in the world. In these cavities, additional subsystems may be introduced which further improve the technical performance and user experience, namely:

  • Thermal probes able to heat the aluminum profiles, allowing the system to be used in countries where recurrent snow and negative temperatures occur (cold climates), maintaining the same overall performance of the system applied in a country with warm climate;
  • Thermal-acoustic insulating foam boards; LED lighting strips;
  • Intrusion security sensors;
  • Introduction of microswitches or biometric fingerprint solutions to control the access to the building;
